October Leaves

Autumn leaves,
Fall onto earth’s barren bosom,
Like tired lovers
Resting upon something familiar.

Tickled by natures silent laughter,
The auburn red fades into the blue sky.
The heart is now a healthy blend of red and blue:
A perfect union of purple.

The tree and the leaves
Are a heavy pile of
Contentment and Coldness,
Love and Lust,
Sunshine and solitude,
Desire and distraction.

Enchanted by the creation,
Evolved by the color,
Ebbed by the coldness,
Fall disappears
Into the hands of winter.
